The guts are from a Saitek/Logitech X52 joystick. I bought the throttle at the Goodwill Outlet for a buck or two and the broken joystick for $10 shipped. I don’t really need the joystick portion, just the buttons and mode selector. I found the wire from the joystick that caused it to be labeled as broken and resoldered it. Everything appears to be functioning as designed; I’m not going to bother with the X and Y axes because I have enough of that type of control on the X-52 throttle (and joystick, rudder pedals and CH and Saitek throttle quadrants).

Now if I can just figure out how to map the functions on the CH Fighterstick (the software is ancient ) and figure out mapping controls in MSFS 2020. That program is amazing in the depth of the controller setup, but man, it is a hassle to map all of those functions. The XBox controller works great for simple external views, things that don’t really apply to flying but are just eye candy.
